John Lewis Childs Elementary School Lobby Renovation
Summary:
Renovation of the Main Entrance Lobby restored the space to its earlier period by removing the lay-in acoustical ceiling and uncovering the original plaster ceiling and crown molding. A lower, built-up, crown molding was designed and incorporated to add cove lighting and to frame a period style pendant light fixture. Glazed block walls were replaced with large format ceramic tile and a new double vestibule door with electronic access hardware and a security window were added to greet guests and control access.
